Second hlaf of the book is devoted to life on the Pacific Slope, including personal reminiscences and experiences. Closing chapter written by Mrs. Baillie-Grohman about the "Yellow and White Agony" by which he refers to the servant question out west.

More Info Selkirk Mountains, The -A Guide for Mountain Climbers and Pilgrims
Book centers around Glacier House, a summer mountain resort of the Canadian Pacific Railway. On the western slopes 3 miles form the summit. Outside this centre the book touches the districts of Golden, Windermere and Revelstoke. Information obtained from photo-topographical surveys made by the writer between 1901 and 1905. suppledmented by information from the Alpine Club of Canada.
Inside front cover is a loose newspaper clipping taken from the Daily Townsman, Tuesday, July 31, 1973, which focusses on the finding of 12 copies of this book by Tommy Wheeler and the subsequent sale of them in her bookstore, The Book Shoppe.
Several fold out topographic maps are interspersed thoughout the text.
