Frank Slide Story, The
'The grim cascade of limestone from Turtle Mountain will undoubtedly lie like an enormous scar across the beautiful Crow's Nest Valley for centuries to come. It would conservatively take 100 gravel trucks, carrying 3 tons per load, making ten trips a day, an estimated 66 years to remove the debris. As it is, the gigantic tombstone is probably the most awe inspiring in the world and stands as a constant reminder of those 100 seconds of wind, rock and dust which wrote the epic of Frank slide in indelible limestone, shale and coal script.'
Frontier Book, No. 1. Story of the event and many of the people affected.
