A biography of the most famous Mounted Policeman of his day, and also the story of a fascinating and formative period in Canadian History . Starting in 1873, when he joined the NWMP at its founding as a young man, follows his rise through the ranks, the small and large events he was part of, continuing as he protected the CP Railway, experienced the gold rush of '98 and commanded Lord Shtrathcona's Horse in the Boer War.
